Signing in
You can try the iPhone app without an account. To keep going after the free trial, tap Sign in and create one.
Microphone
Live needs the microphone. iOS asks for permission the first time you tap Start. If you declined, the app shows Microphone is off with an Open Settings button. You can also turn it on in Settings › Let's Tango › Microphone.
When your iPhone locks
Live keeps listening when you lock your iPhone or open another app, so the transcript is complete when you return. The orange microphone dot and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island show that Live is listening. Tap Pause there, or in the app, to turn the microphone off. In the background, Live pauses after 10 minutes without speech. Open the app and tap Resume to continue. While the app is open, it keeps the screen on.
Saved transcripts
Nothing from a session is kept unless you tap Save when it ends. Saved transcripts stay on your iPhone. With History Sync (Plus), an end-to-end encrypted copy is also stored on our servers. We cannot read it. In the app it is called Cloud Sync, in Settings › Account › Cloud Sync.
Tap History on the Home screen to see them. To delete one transcript, open it and tap Delete Transcript, or swipe it left in the list. To delete all of them, tap the More button, then Delete All. A deleted transcript waits in the Recycle Bin for 30 days. Then it is removed from your iPhone, and from our servers if it was synced.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, open Account › Delete Account. Your account is locked immediately and deleted with its data within 30 days. Saved transcripts and phrases on that iPhone are deleted right away. This cannot be undone.
