About Let's Tango

Let's Tango is a shared space where people who speak different languages talk in real time, each in their own words. You write in English. Your friend reads it in Japanese. Their reply comes back in Japanese and reaches you in English. The conversation never stops, and the meaning survives the trip.
Why this exists
Jay, the founder, lives in Japan and kept watching the same thing happen: two people who genuinely want to talk, separated by a language wall. Translation apps exist, but copying, pasting, and switching back and forth drains the warmth out of a conversation.
The goal is not translation for its own sake. The goal is that the conversation keeps going: with your neighbor, your in-laws, your coworkers, your friends. Let's Tango folds translation into the room itself so nobody has to leave the conversation to be understood.
Where it is today
